The medium grit provides a balance between material removal and finishing when shortening and shaping artificial nails. Its rounded cylinder profile supports flat work on gel, acrylic and hybrid nail surfaces while allowing transitions to be smoothed. The standard 2.35 mm shank is compatible with Promed nail drill devices and common pedicure drills. The bit is recommended for operating speeds up to 20,000 rpm.

For cleaning, the bit can be autoclaved at 121–134 °C or cleaned in an ultrasonic bath. Use an even movement with light pressure when working on artificial nail material.
